Around here you will start unlocking some recipes that are relevant for higher level players. You should also check any consumable sections on raiding guides to get a good idea of what players want or need. As you can see from the screenshot I can craft Lesser invisibility potions, Free action potions and great rage potions profitably. The Free Action Potion is not too profitable though, but the price for blackmouth oil is very high now, and oily blackmouths are still cheap, so that is really an artifact. My actual profit margin is about 40 silver more than what is shown. I have been using a set of operations to profitably sell consumables in BfA and Legion that I will be applying to alchemy in Classic. The idea is to post in a lot of different stack sizes, and avoid trying to be the absolute cheapest.

As with any economy the main way to make money involves supply and demand. Be prepared to spend top price for rare recipes and spend hours grinding reputation with several factions. If you have Herbalism as well as Alchemy, be sure to check how much you can just sell the raw materials for. For the common recipes you can often make more selling the herbs than you could by turning them into potions! Before making potions to sell, check prices and demand on your server. You should be able to make a profit from buying herbs from the Auction House and selling the finished product. If you cannot make a profit from doing this at higher alchemy levels, then you need to find better recipes. Healing and Mana potions are constantly in demand, although you’ll find more buyers for the higher-level versions.

Alchemy allows you to create some of the most popular and powerful consumables in WoW Classic. Getting many of these consumables alcchemy critical if you clasdic to be competitive in PvP or PvE, and it will wlw convenient to be able to make them.

Elixirssuch as Greater Arcane Elixirtypically grant you a powerful stat buff for a prolonged amount of time. If you die, you lose this buff. Oilssuch as Blackmouth Oilare used as raw materials for other crafts, such as the aforementioned Free Action Potionand usually made from fish.

Flaskssuch as Flask of Supreme Powerwork similarly to elixirs, but last alvhemy, persist through death, have bigger effects, and are extremely expensive, due to requiring a lot of materials and one Black Lotus.

Transmutessuch as Transmute: Arcaniteallow you to convert raw materials into different, much rarer, raw materials. Using the transmute mentioned as alchejy example, the resulting Arcanite Bar is used to craft the best gear, and is involved in many of the steps necessary to obtain Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros and Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker! Almost all of Alchemy’s items are consumed when used.

The profession mostly requires herbs and fish, such as Stonescale Eelto craft. It is expensive to level and maintain it through the Auction House alone, so pairing it with Herbalism and Fishing is very beneficial, allowing you to farm some of the materials. You can learn Msking from any Alchemy trainer, which are generally found near starting zones and in capital cities. When you arrive at a major city, you can ask any city guard for directions and pick the Alchemy trainer option.

This will mark its location on your map, allowing you to easily find them and get your Alchemy skills up to date. In order to level Alchemy efficiently, you will want to craft orange items in your Alchemy menu whenever it is cheap to do so, as it guarantees a skill up per craft. If you cannot craft something orangeyellow is an acceptable alternative, as these usually give skill ups.

Green recipes will rarely grant you a skill point, making them only worth it when the alternatives are scarce or expensive. Also, keep in mind that gray recipes cannot give you a skill point at all. Any Alchemy trainer can train you on these levels of Alchemy. The moneey required are also generally pretty easy to find and cheap. The full list of Alchemy crafts is extremely extensive, but because their effects do not always stack with higher versions of the same effect, only a few of them are very useful in the clsssic game.
